Jeff Valenson

JEFF VALENSON DESIGN is a Los Angeles based Interior Design firm founded in 1992. Jeff graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design and upon graduating began an apprenticeship as a decorative painter and muralist for the venerable Los Angeles Interior Design firm A.T. Heinsbergen and Company. Jeff was quickly promoted to Director of the Historical Division and received the prestigious post of representing the firm overseeing the decorative restoration of the world famous Carnegie Hall in New York City. Other commissions followed; in Los Angeles, the Wiltern Theater, the Biltmore Hotel and the famous Pickfair Estate to name just a few as well as numerous commercial and residential projects across the country and around the world.

An acknowledged award winning artist since childhood, Jeff found yet another means to express his talents with innovative surfboard art concepts as a principal partner of Surfs Up Inc. In response to the allure of the surface and the desire to create imagery that would enhance or juxtapose the surfboard’s traditional themes, it provided the opportunity to produce legitimate and functional art to be incorporated into both residential and commercial settings.

Jeff has been strongly committed to charitable organizations. Most notably, Project Angel Food in Los Angeles which provides fresh meal delivery to persons overwhelmed with life-threatening illnesses. He has served on several committees; designing the look for their summer gala, Angel Awards and has served as Director of the Home & Gift Marketplace for their extremely popular Divine Design event. Others include the Trevor Project, LAYN, Friends of Runyon Canyon and FAM, the foundation to create an AIDS Monument in West Hollywood.

All of Jeff’s endeavors are extensions of his passion for Interior Design. He is continuously grateful for the opportunities to collaborate with notable residents and businesses to provide his expertise with the intent to achieve beautiful and functional environments beyond their utmost desires and expectations.
